Reflection In this activity I was learning to identify a fraction of different shapes. I found it hard because I was copying Praise and Zayaan. Next I need to ask a buddy for help instead of copying them.

Reflection In this activity I was learning sort living and non living things. I found it easy because I knew living things could be plants, animals and humans because they need water, sunshine, shelter and they need to move.

Planning - Explanation

Reflection I was learning to plan for my explanation writing. We did this as a class.  I learnt how to plan for my writing on a padlet with the help of a buddy. Next I need to try and do it by myself.

Matariki - vocabulary

Reflection I was learning to extend my vocabulary. I found it tricky to find some of the facts. I also need to work on using my tricky words that I look up in the dictionary in a sentence.

Reflection I was learning to use strategies to add detail to my writing. I used good adjectives. Next time I need to follow the structure and write a simile.

Reflection it was easy to do m 2s and 3s in order. I found it easy to find the pattern. I found the last one tricky as I wasn't sure what the pattern was.

In this activity my task was to do softball. I enjoyed doing the butterfly hands.  Next I want to improve on my crocodile hands for catching the ball on the ground.

Bio Poem

Reflection I was learning as learning to write a Bio Poem. I learnt what a Bio Poem is. I found this tricky to follow the structure. I used three describing words to describe me.

Statistical Enquiry

Reflection I was learning to do a statistical enquiry with a buddy. I found it hard to gather all the information for the tally chart. Next I would like to learn about other graphs like a pie graph.

Welcome to my year 4 learning blog. This year I am in Room 14 and my teacher is Mrs Prendergast. I enjoy maths. This year I am looking forward to doing my best with getting ticks for the 3R's. I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
